Don't you think in this day and age that we'd find a better way to not go insane.
But so many of us still lose our way.
And we play the part that our parents wrote, sit around instead of get up and go.
It's a vicious cycle we must learn to outgrow.

We spend too much time tearing apart our minds, our souls, and our broken hearts.
Don't we deserve some peace since we've made it this far.
But here we are ruled by insecurity, falling to our knees to beg and plead for love, from those who's hearts are filled with greed.

Our minds are all we own, thats ours and everything we've known. why is it so hard to let go.
